GreenRoom Singing is thrilled to announce the second in a series of confirmed MASTER CLASSES for 2019!
All are to be conducted by Professional, Experienced and Highly Trained performers in the areas of musical theatre, pop, and classical to name a few!
Our Master Class on the 17th March is to be conducted by Tayla Johnston in the areas of Pop/ Musical Theatre and Performance Anxiety. Not to be missed!
Originally from Geelong, Tayla graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from the VCA in 2015.
While there she was one of 5 recipients of the Global Atelier Scholarship, taking her to New York for Masterclasses and Intensives. Tayla was also selected as a soloist performer at the ‘John Bucchino Masterclass’ during her time at VCA. She graduated VCA as the 2015 recipient of the Ron and Margaret Dobell Foundation Music Theatre Award, a monetary award allowing her to travel to London and further study voice.
Since graduating Tayla has performed in educational touring shows with Echelon, NTC and Perform!
In 2016 Tayla performed the role of ‘Lori’ in the Singapore tour of ‘Chuggington’ (LifeLike Productions).
During 2018 Tayla performed the principle role of ’Sleeping Beauty’ in the Australian premiere of ‘Disenchanted’ at Melbourne’s 'Athenaeum Theatre’, after workshopping the piece for previews in the 'Noosa Alive Festival'.
Tayla is currently one half of an accomplished acoustic duo ‘Tom & Tayla’, playing gigs all around Australia and internationally, and is a Roving Reporter on ‘Kids WB’ (Channel 9Go!).
